Our story begins with family.

Everything we do revolves around building relationships which draw us closer together.  We bought a tract of land that only had one purpose, and that was hunting/family time.  The land had been neglected and needed a lot of tender loving care to get it ready for hunting.  Many weekends were spent clearing, planting and preparing for the first big hunt.   A small Goodwill shed was purchased and placed on the land as shelter from the rain, and would serve as a good hunting blind.  But we never do anything simple and this small structure has now grown into a cabin, along with a barn, general store front, and pavilion.

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure that the natural beauty of the property is not disturbed.   The goal was to incorporate as many family antiques as possible, while ensuring modern amenities were incorporated into the design. From the antique water pump at the kitchen sink (along with a vintage dipper), to my grandfather’s rustic buckets used as bathroom sinks, to the mason jar lighting, it all takes you back into an era where things were simple, yet functional.

Our simple little cabin (designed after my great aunt’s) in the woods began to change with the engagement of both of our sons. Suddenly, family discussions were now less about hunting, and more about weddings.  It has been a joy to transform this peaceful, tranquil, hunting land into a place where my family will have many happy memories. Even with all the changes our goal remains the same, and that is family relationships.
